Tomato Walnut Pesto

...we had been in Italy! What else...

After our third and certainly not our last stay this year in "...our favorite country" I absolutely have to prepare a tomato nut pesto from sun-ripened tomatoes dried by me from the neighbour's garden. In addition a glass of Aperol Spritz and the "...". YourEvening can kick off.




20 dried tomatoes (good not too sour quality)

1 - 2 cloves of garlic

approx. 60 ml olive oil

2 Msp cayenne pepper

1 bunch basil 

20 walnut halves

1 tsp lime

salt
